Smyth Community Hospital Builds Replacement Facility

Smyth Community Hospital is building a 150,373-sf replacement facility in Marion, Va. The hospital will provide 48 acute care inpatient beds, an emergency department, surgical suites, and outpatient care. Occupancy is expected in June of 2012. LEED sustainable design certification will be sought for the facility. The hospital was designed by Earl Swensson Associates and built by Skanska USA Building.
