San Antonio
University Hospital is planning a $900 million expansion of its San Antonio medical center. A $778 million, 1 million-sf hospital tower is slated for occupancy in 2014. The sustainably designed facility will feature 420 private rooms. Existing facilities for surgery and emergency care will be significantly expanded, and the Robert B. Green Clinic will undergo a $121 million renovation and expansion. The design team includes Perkins + Will, Garza/Bomberger & Associates, RVK Architects, and Richard Sanchez Architects.
