UMass Medical School Opens Ambulatory Care Center

The University of Massachusetts Medical School opened the 258,000-sf Ambulatory Care Center in Worcester in September of 2010. Designed by Payette, the nine-story project provides integrated facilities for patient care, clinical research, and medical education. The building is located at UMass Memorial Medical Center and features energy-efficient HVAC systems, abundant natural light, and occupancy sensors. The project team included general contractor Consigli Construction, MEP engineer RDK, structural engineer Souza True and Partners, and civil engineer Nitsch Engineering.
