Moorpark College dedicated its 47,000-sf Academic Center in September of 2010. Located in Moorpark, Calif., the three-story, 47,000-sf facility house 33 technology-rich classrooms, faculty offices, and conference rooms. Additionally, Moorpark College’s new health sciences building will open in January of 2011, and the $12.7 million, 13,000-sf Exotic Animal Training and Management Program (EATM) facility is slated for completion in April of 2011. The EATM center will house a veterinary medicine laboratory, two 50-seat classrooms, faculty offices, a 150-seat outdoor auditorium, and animal housing. The construction manager for the project is Heery Construction.
