St. Mary's Good Samaritan Breaks Ground on Mt. Vernon Hospital

St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital broke ground in late April of 2010 on a $237 million healthcare campus in Mt Vernon, Ill. Designed by BSA LifeStructures, the project includes a $185 million replacement hospital, a $43 million medical office building, and a $9 million surgical center. The 359,000-sf, five-story hospital will provide 134 beds in private rooms. The joint venture construction team includes McCarthy, Lipps Construction, and Shores Construction. Completion is expected in late 2012.
