Mercy Memorial Hospital broke ground on the Monroe Cancer Center in March of 2010. Created in partnership with ProMedica Health System of Toledo and Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center of Detroit, the 10,000-sf facility will be a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center offering integrated medical and radiation oncology services. The project team includes architect Hobb and Black Associates of Ann Arbor and construction manager Contracting Resources of Brighton, Mich. Occupancy is expected in early 2011.
