Maryland General Hospital Opens $57M Expansion

Maryland General Hospital will celebrate the opening of its $57 million expansion in Baltimore in March of 2010. The 92,500-sf project consists of 77,000 sf of new construction and 15,534 sf of renovated space. Designed by Hord Coplan Macht of Baltimore, the five-story tower houses eight operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, a cystoscopy suite, and an 18-room intensive care unit. The construction manager for the project was Barton Malow. Construction began on the facility in late 2007.
