The 20-story hospital provides 259 private patient rooms and 15 surgical suites with robotic technology, videoconferencing, and ceiling-mounted equipment. Garden space comprising 17,000 sf on three floors provides natural cooling for the 686,000-sf facility. The hospital also features a skywalk atrium leading from the Bunting Garage to a two-story lobby. The hospital was designed by Ellerbe Becket and built by Whiting-Turner. The project was completed seven months ahead of schedule.
