Detroit Medical Center Builds Pediatric Facility

Detroit Medical Center broke ground on the $43.5 million Children’s Hospital of Michigan Specialty Center in November of 2010. Created in partnership with Vanguard Health, the five-story, 105,550-sf outpatient facility was designed by Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbott of Boston and is being built by a joint venture of L.S. Brinker Company of Detroit and Barton Malow of Southfield, Mich. Completion is expected in January of 2012.
