Iowa State University dedicated the $75 million Hach Hall in Ames in October of 2010. The three-story, 135,000-sf facility houses labs and classrooms for the department of chemistry. Ground was broken on the project in September of 2008. LEED certification will be sought for the sustainably designed facility, which features LED lighting, low-flow ventilation hoods, and a heat recovery system.
