University of West Florida Opens School of Science and Engineering

The University of West Florida opened the $30.6 million School of Science and Engineering in Pensacola in January of 2010. The four-story, 94,719-sf building houses 22 labs, 11 classrooms, faculty offices, and conference rooms. The facility was designed by Lord Aeck & Sargent of Atlanta in collaboration with Caldwell & Associates of Pensacola. The general contractor was Greenhut Construction. The sustainably-designed building is LEED certified.
