Danville, Pa.
Geisinger Medical Center will open the $100 million Hospital for Advanced Medicine in February of 2010 in Danville, Pa. The 308,000-sf facility houses the Heart and Vascular Institute and includes a 32,000-sf surgical suite with four operating rooms, two inpatient nursing units, and physician offices. Ground was broken on the nine-story hospital in June of 2007. The facility was designed by Ewing Cole and built by Torcon Inc. LEED sustainable design certification will be sought for the project.
