The U.S. Coast Guard will break ground in fall of 2009 on its $435 million headquarters in southeast Washington, D.C. Completion is expected by early 2014. The general contractor for the project is Clark Construction Group of Bethesda, Md. The facility is part of a planned $3.4 billion redevelopment of the St. Elizabeth's Hospital campus to serve as the consolidated headquarters for the Department of Homeland Security.
