The American Institute of Architects Healthcare Design Awards recipients for 2009 were announced in August of 2009. Recognition was given to Providence North Portland Clinic, designed by Mahlum, and to Oregon Health and Science University’s Peter O. Kohler Pavilion, designed by Perkins and Will. Both facilities are located in Portland, Ore. The Cancer Research Institute’s planned hospital, designed by HKS in joint venture with UHS Building Solutions, was recognized in the unbuilt category.
