Doctors Hospital of Augusta Opens South Tower

Doctors Hospital of Augusta celebrated the opening of the new $55 million South Tower in July of 2009. The three-story facility features 24 private medical/surgical rooms, 24 ICU rooms, a cancer care center, women’s services, a joint and spine center, a classroom, and a daVinci® robotic surgical system. Additionally, the Burn Unit Medical Office Building is slated for completion in December of 2009. Renovations and expansion of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, including the addition of a 16-bed pediatric unit, will commence in January of 2010 with completion expected by August of 2010.
