Shriners Hospitals for Children Expands Portland Facility

Shriners Hospitals for Children is engaged in a $74 million expansion of its hospital campus in Portland, Ore. A five-story facility is being built on top of an existing building by construction manager and general contractor Andersen Construction. The expansion broke ground in September of 2008 and is slated for completion in spring of 2010. The project team includes architect SRG Partnership and Catena Consulting Engineers. Upon completion of the addition, the existing hospital will be renovated. The completed facility will house 29 inpatient beds, 24 exam rooms, three surgical suites, and research facilities.
