Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Builds Memphis Pediatric Hospital

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is building the $327 million Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. Construction began on the 613,512-sf facility in February of 2008 with completion expected in 2011. The project team includes FKP Architects and Self Tucker Architects with Skanska USA Building as general contractor. The 12-story facility will provide diagnostic and treatment services with 225 patient rooms, a 14-room surgical suite, a cardiac catheterization lab, an interventional radiology suite, an endoscopy suite, and dedicated cardiovascular, pediatric, and neonatal ICUs. The project will feature a modular energy plant installed by Johnson Controls.
