University Campus Suffolk Breaks Ground on Ipswich Expansion

University Campus Suffolk broke ground in January of 2009 on the University Quay development in Ipswich, U.K. The project includes two dormitories and an academic building housing the Faculty of Health, Wellbeing and Science; instructional facilities; a library, and a student union. The first phase of the academic building will open in September of 2010. The project team includes RMJM Architects, contractor Watkin Jones Group, and Turner and Townsend. University Quay represents the second phase of development at the Ipswich campus. The £31 million Waterfront Building was completed in 2008.
