St. Joseph's Health System Breaks Ground on Critical Care Facility

St. Joseph’s Health System broke ground in November of 2009 on a $100,000 Critical Care Building at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, N.J. Designed by Francis Cauffman, the 230,000-sf facility will house an expanded emergency room with separate adult and pediatric units, 12 operating rooms, and a 5,000-sf addition to the Level Two Regional Trauma Center. The building will also provide cardiac and surgical critical care and intensive care units. Completion is expected in 2012. The project is part of a $250 million master plan to add approximately 655,000-sf of new and renovated space.
