Woodstock General Hospital Builds Replacement Facility

Woodstock General Hospital is building a 350,000-sf replacement facility in Woodstock, Ontario. Ground was broken on the project in October of 2008 with occupancy stated for summer of 2011. The three-story, 350,000-sf facility will provide 178 beds. Built by general contractor EllisDon, the hospital will feature advanced diagnostic imaging, five surgical suites, a critical care unit, and a women’s and children’s center. LEED certification for sustainable design will be sought for the facility.
