NORTHAMPTON, Mass.
Smith College dedicated the $73 million Ford Hall in October of 2009 in Northampton, Mass. The 140,000-sf facility will provide space for engineering, chemistry, biology, molecular biology, and computer science. Construction began on the facility in 2007. The project team included architect Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and RFD (Research Facilities Design) as lab design consultant. The sustainably-designed Ford Hall houses classrooms, lecture halls, and laboratories.
