East Texas Medical Center Opens Pittsburgh Hospital

Construction of the 100,000-sf East Texas Medical Center-Pittsburg was completed in September of 2009. Featuring a nuclear medicine suite and 16 physician clinics, the acute-care hospital includes emergency, laboratory, surgery, and imaging departments. A 25-bed nursing unit includes four monitored intermediate care units and 21 medical-surgical private patient rooms. Construction began on the facility, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, in November of 2007.
