The University of Minnesota has selected Stahl Construction and MN Best Enterprises as the construction team for the renovation of the Urban Research and Outreach/Engagement Center (UROC) in Minneapolis. The project involves renovation of an existing facility to house programs in early childhood education, urban youth development, nutrition education, and family development. The building will also house UROC’s administrative offices, the University Northside Partnership Office, the University of Minnesota Medical School's program in health disparities, and the Center for Innovation and Economic Development. Construction began in January of 2009 and will reach completion by the end of the year.
