SANYO Commercial Solutions announced the launch of new four-way ceiling-recessed air conditioners and heat pumps in December of 2008. The XS/XHS1271 and XS/XHS1872 models send cool air in all directions within the room and return the air through the center of the grille, which evenly distributes air through each of the openings. The six new split product models are available in both 12,000 and 18,000 Btu/h capacities and available in cooling only, cooling only with low ambient capability, and heat pump versions. As an added benefit, they will connect with other current 12,000 and 18,000 Btu/h outdoor units. The indoor units feature a small footprint with dimensions of 24 19/32” x 24 19/32” x 12 5/16” and will fit into any traditional ceiling grid with no modifications. The new models are all rated at 16 SEER, with the heat pumps carrying an 8.5 HSPF rating. Other features include a wireless remote controller (wired controller an optional accessory), an integral condensate pump, remote ducting capability, and low sound ratings down to 31 dbA. The new ceiling cassette models are ideal for any commercial or industrial application where wall space is at a premium, as well as many residential applications.
