Part of the Sanford School of Medicine and the School of Health Sciences, the facility houses technology-rich faculty research laboratories, classrooms, and offices. Providing space for the Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences and the Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy departments, the 156,700-sf building is comprised of two three-story wings, the Medical Education Wing and the Graduate Education and Research Wing, linked by a central atrium. The project features 37 laboratory suites; 28 faculty offices; 21 classrooms; 10 conference rooms; four teaching labs; a 222-seat auditorium, two student lounges; and a five-room clinical examination suite. The project broke ground in 2004.
