Towson University Builds College of Liberal Arts Complex

Towson University is building a new College of Liberal Arts complex in Towson, Md. The academic facility will house technology-rich classrooms, lecture halls, seminar rooms, faculty offices, and basement space. The construction manager is The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. The first phase of the project will include 110,000 sf and is slated for completion by fall of 2009. The second phase will add another 250,000 sf and will reach completion in summer of 2011. LEED Silver sustainable design certification will be sought for the project.
