Franklin Woods Plans Nashville Hospital

Franklin Woods Community Hospital has selected Skanska USA Building as pre-construction and construction manager for its new healthcare facility in Johnson City, Tennessee. Karlsberger Architecture is providing the design for the 249,771-sf hospital, which will be part of the Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) system. LEED Silver certification for sustainable design will be sought for the project. The hospital will include 80 beds, a 22-bay emergency department, five operating rooms with 22 beds, radiology services including two CT scans and an MRI, physical and respiratory therapy, and additional support areas. The construction phase began in June of 2008 with a June 2010 expected completion date.
