Kaiser Permanente Builds Vallejo Medical Center

Kaiser Permanente is constructing a 460,000-sf replacement hospital in Vallejo, Calif. Slated for completion in fall of 2009, the $500 million facility will house 248 beds, emergency, radiology, surgery, ICU, rehabilitation, and inpatient care. The sustainably designed facility will feature UV-filtered natural light, flooring made of recyclable rubber, and heat recovery. The hospital will meet new state seismic regulations.
