Published 6/10/2008

SANYO Commercial Solutions, a division of SANYO North America Corporation announces that due to new multi split and VRF testing, three additional models are now ENERGY STAR qualified. Equipment that meets these standards allows homeowners and building owners to take Federal Tax credit for having high efficiency equipment installed. Products that earn the ENERGY STAR rating use less energy and prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. With energy costs and global warming top-of-mind for consumers, SANYO is committed to offering solutions that help consumers conserve energy and improve the quality of our environment. The new models to receive ENERGY STAR qualification are as follows: CM1972, CLM1972, and CMH1972. Achieving ENERGY STAR Tier 2 qualification requires that a model be rated with specifications of at least: 15 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), 12.5 EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) and 8.5 HSPF (Heating Season Performance Factor) for heat pump models. In addition, SANYO HVAC already has 4 models that have met ENERGY STAR qualifications, these include: 09KS71, 09KLS71, 18KS72 and 18KLS72. SANYO HVAC now has a total of 7 units that are ENERGY STAR certified. Additionally, SANYO HVAC has been accepted as an ENERGY STAR Partner.
