Published 3/1/2008

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is planning to construct the $250 million Human Performance Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. The project is part of a $332 million construction program at the base and is slated for completion by year-end 2010 with occupancy expected in 2011. The facility will accommodate laboratories, offices, and classrooms for the Air Force Research Laboratory's Human Effectiveness Directorate, the School of Aerospace Medicine, the Institute for Operational Health, the 311th Performance Enhancement Directorate, and sensors research. Infrastructure work for the project will reach completion by the beginning of 2009 so that construction may commence. Two additional facilities, a management facility and a materials laboratory building, will also be renovated.
