Cookeville Regional Medical Center completed construction of its $80 million, 228,000-sf North Patient Tower in late November of 2008. Located in Cookeville, Tenn., the six-story project began construction in fall of 2006 with occupancy slated for January of 2009. The tower features a 30-bed ICU, a 33,000-sf cancer center with a TomoTherapy unit, cardiac care, medical oncology, post surgical care, and pediatrics. The project was built by Turner Universal of Brentwood, Tenn. The north patient tower more than doubles Cookeville’s existing footprint, bringing the size of the hospital to 657,000 sf.
