Peking University Health Science Center Partners with Duke Medicine

Peking University Health Science Center, located in Beijing, China, entered into a strategic partnership with Duke Medicine in September of 2007. Enabling the integration of healthcare delivery, the seven-year agreement will bring Duke University administrators, faculty, and researchers to Beijing to develop concepts for systems and services integration to enhance operational efficiency. The agreement also includes healthcare management training for Chinese officials and joint research and clinical care programs, as well as initiating large-scale clinical trials in China. The Duke-PUHSC Cardiovascular Training Center was dedicated in Beijing in September of 2007. Future plans include the creation of the Duke-Peking University Heart Center and a Duke-Peking University Center on Global Health.
