Marshall University Breaks Ground on Engineering Facilities

Published 7/26/2007

Marshall University will break ground in August 2007 on a $3.5 million, 16,000-sf undergraduate engineering laboratory building in Huntington, Iowa. Completion is expected by fall of 2008. The facility will house environmental and interdisciplinary labs, three offices, a classroom, and material storage. Marshall is also planning to construct a $50 million classroom, office, and laboratory facility between the existing $48 million Byrd Biotechnology Science Center and the engineering lab building. Both new buildings will include VISE (Visual Interactive Simulated Environment) equipment for advanced laboratory visualization capabilities.
