Center for Advanced Healing at St. Alphonsus Medical Nears Completion

Construction on the Center for Advanced Healing at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, is nearing completion. Sited between two existing fully operational hospital towers, the $103 million, 400,000-sf facility is slated to open in September of 2007. The project began construction in fall of 2004. The 10-story facility will house 16 operating rooms, a 32-bed ICU, and 128 private patient rooms. Designed by HDR of Omaha and built by contractor McCarthy, the project includes the renovation of 60,000 sf of existing hospital space to integrate the new building. In addition to the new Center, McCarthy is building a new 40,000-sf, $11 million, two-story Family Maternity Center and a $2 million Cancer Care Center expansion. The owner’s representative for the Center for Advanced Healing is CH2MHill of Boise.
