Published 11/14/2007

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital dedicated the $134 million Chili's Care Center in Memphis in November of 2007. The seven-story, 340,000-sf facility houses an MRI and the only cyclotron dedicated to childhood cancer research. The facility features expanded programs for diagnostic imaging and bone marrow transplants; research laboratories; the department of radiation oncology; and the brain tumor program. The fourth floor of the building is unoccupied to accommodate future growth. Complete occupancy is slated for spring of 2008. The building includes family-friendly amenities such as comfortable patient rooms, an aquarium, and a Chili’s Grill & Bar. Dallas-based Chili’s has pledged to donate over $50 million in the next ten years to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
