The University of Louisiana (ULL) is engaged in over $50-million in capital projects on its Lafayette campus. A $7.5-million, 15,000-sf computer science building is slated for completion by year-end 2006. The three-story facility will house classrooms, labs, conference rooms, and an auditorium. Construction was completed in January 2006 on a $1.3-million expansion of the Marine Survival Training Center. The $8.3-million expansion of ULL's primate medical testing facility, the New Iberia Research Center, will be completed by summer of 2006, as will the $9.6-million expansion and renovation of the College of Business Administration's F.G. Mouton Hall. ULL will initiate construction in 2006 on a $4-million indoor athletics facility and a $6.2-million, 430-space parking garage. Additionally, the $30-million expansion and renovation of the Student Union could begin within three years.
