University of Toledo Constructs College of Pharmacy

The University of Toledo is planning to construct a 43,000-sf College of Pharmacy facility on its Ohio health sciences campus. Providing additional laboratories and research space, the $15 million project will be constructed on the site of the Medical University of Ohio; the two institutions merged in summer of 2006. Poggemeyer Design Group of Bowling Green, Ohio is the project architect. Construction of the new building will allow the College of Pharmacy to utilize its existing home in Wolfe Hall for other laboratory classes. Funding for the project will come from the Ohio State government. Additionally, the University of Toledo is planning a $30 million renovation of the Savage Hall arena and the $25 million renovation of the Memorial Field House on the main campus to contain 80,000-sf of classrooms and auditoriums. The architect for the Field House project is BHDP of Cincinnati.
