Published 9/4/2005

Kaiser Permanente is planning to open a $30-million cancer center in South San Francisco. Designed by Emeryville, Calif.-based Ratcliff Architects, the 19,500-sf oncology center will house 12 examination rooms, four linear accelerators, a CT scanner, physician offices, and space for support staff. Redwood City, Calif.-based contractor Rudolph & Sletten is expected to begin construction on the facility in early 2006 and reach completion in the first half of 2007. The center is estimated to treat 1,000 cancer patients annually.
