University of Kansas Opens Teaching and Research Facility

Published 5/1/2005

The University of Kansas has opened the 82,000-sf Victor and Helen Regnier Hall on its Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kan. The four-level facility provides new areas for teaching and research and more than doubles the campus' original space. Regnier Hall houses a 240-seat auditorium, ten classrooms, eight tiered lecture halls, three computer labs, and faculty and administrative space. The building is part of a 34-acre master development plan which includes designs for two additional facilities which will provide 225,000 sf of classroom and research space. An existing building will be renovated to create a student union with 10,000 sf of research space on the lower level. Also, 20,000 sf will be added to the Regents Center, and parking will be increased to a total of 1,700 spaces.
