The California Academy of Sciences has opened its new transitional museum facility in San Francisco . While the permanent facility in Golden Gate Park undergoes a major renovation, the museum has relocated to 875 Howard Street . The new museum offers two floors of exhibit space with a 20,000-gallon, two-story coral reef tank, an aquarium housing thousands of live animals, an interactive learning center, and a new natural history exhibit. The interior build-out includes five stories of administration, research and storage facilities. The project contractor was Webcor Interior Construction Group.
