UCSF Develops Parnassus Heights Campus

The University of California, San Francisco will invest over $500 million on capital projects at its Parnassus campus over the next five years. Planned new construction or renovations include:

  • A new $20-million cardiac center slated to open in June 2005
  • The $71-million Parnassus Services Building, a laboratory and animal care facility to open in mid to late 2005
  • $100 million in enhancements to UCSF Medical Center
  • New Toland Hall, a $50-facility providing partial replacement when the UC Hospital building is torn down at a cost of $15 million; slated for completion in 2007
  • A replacement or renovation of the Clinical Sciences Building which may cost up to $100 million
