Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Constructs New Headquarters

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will begin construction in late summer 2005 on its new 14-story headquarters tower sited on 15.7 acres in in Kansas City. Opening in spring 2008, the $280-million facility will accommodate 26,000-sf on each office floor. The second floor will house a conference center, employee dining room, and a training area. The architects for the project are New York-based Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and the Kansas City office of Ellerbe Becket. The construction manager is Kansas City-based J.E. Dunn Construction.
