Published 1/22/2004

Greater Baltimore Medical Center is planning a $1.2 million expansion of its specialized wound care center in Baltimore, Md., the largest of its kind in the country. The 10,000-sf project will unite the two separate facilities that make up the wound care center, locating the hyperbaric chambers adjacent to the center. The hospital is also engaged in the construction of a new designated pediatric emergency center and the expansion of its existing emergency department by 15,000 sf. New surgical suites, a new intensive care unit, a medical library, and community resource center are planned for future development.
