Littleton Adventist Hospital Expands

Littleton Adventist Hospital has selected Capstone Planning & Control of Broomfield, Colo., to provide project controls and master schedules for a 130,000-sf expansion. With related renovations on four levels of the existing hospital, the expansion will include a new emergency department, imaging, surgery, two new operating rooms, a 32-bed expansion to the obstetrics nursing and well baby recovery unit, a central plant addition, and related sitework including a new helipad. The construction costs total $31 million with total project costs of $42 million. Capstone is working with the design and construction team of Adams Project Management Consulting of Rome, Ga., as owner's representative, and H+L Architecture of Denver and Watkins Hamilton Ross of Houston (a joint venture). Cator Ruma & Associates is the mechanical/electrical engineer, and Centex Rogers is the CM/GC.
