Raleigh Community Hospital has awarded a $140,000 contract to Commercial Mechanical Inc. to install a web-based heating and cooling system. Commercial Mechanical, based in Raleigh, installs a system designed by Canadian Circon Systems Corp. that enables hospital staff to access the system at any time from any location via the Internet server which is connected by cable to a series of microprocessors. Remote access increases efficiency by enabling the system engineer to remedy problems online if the engineer is away from the hospital. Installation takes three to four months to complete.
