The U.S. Army has selected Centex Construction to build F-22-related facilities in Hampton, Va. Commencing April 1st, the $32.9-million contract will include building 3 hangars, various fighter jet facilities and a fire pumphouse, and is slated for completion in 2004. Special paints and coatings are required by the stealth F-22 to prevent detection by enemy radar.
