San Diego
San Diego State University (SDSU) opened its new $16.5-million Aztech Athletics Center & Hall of Fame building in February 2002. Carrier Johnson, with offices in San Diego and Irvine, provided architectural and interior design services for the structure. The four-level, 127,000-sf facility houses administration offices for all athletics programs, locker rooms, a weight training center, a lecture room/media center, and recruiting facilities. The Hall of Fame, situated on the facility’s first floor, is a 5,000-sf museum housing exhibits honoring the accomplishments of SDSU athletes.
