HarleyEllis, in conjunction with HERA, Inc. of Saint Louis, Mo., is assessing the viability of a building expansion and renovation for Westchester County's Department of Laboratories and Research in Valhalla, New York. The $9.1 million project will enhance laboratory capabilities and technology.
The assessment will outline the renovation of an existing 14,000-sf facility, as well as the proposed construction of a new 12,000-sf structure. The new facility will house a Forensics Crime Lab including DNA Processing, Trace Evidence, Chemistry, Toxicology, Photography and an Arson & Forensics Garage, as well as a Public Health Lab including Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Virology and Molecular Diagnostics.
