GREENWICH, Conn.
Medarex Inc., based in Princeton, Pa., has opened a new center for antibody development in Greenwich. The center features labs for research and development, a pilot plant, and facilities for future manufactuiring. Several phases of expansion are planned over the next two years, with construction completed in late 2002. At build-out, the facility will accommodate 200 employees. The expansion will support the company's R&D in the field of cancer and arthritis treatments, as well as provide for future large-scale manufacturing of monoclonal antibodies.
