Maryland Science and Technology Center, a $60 million, 14-building complex, expects to complete Phase I of construction—a total of 120,000 sf of space in one office building and two flex and R&D buildings—by February 2002. The buildings were designed by Robert T. Hoffman. Phase II construction will create four flex and R&D facilities. MEI Properties is the developer of the project at the 466-acre office park. At build-out, the project will encompass multistory office space (500,000 sf); single-story office space (120,000 sf); flex and R&D space (320,000 sf); restaurant and retail space (50,000 sf); a conference center and a hotel.
